Weddings

We believe that marriage is a gift from God, a lifelong commitment of mutual love and one of the greatest joys of life. Today more than a quarter of all marriages in England between a man and a woman take place in the traditional setting of a Church of England church and at Christ Church we would love to help you plan both for your wedding day and for your life together.

If you would like to enquire about holding your wedding here, please contact the parish office on 020 8449 0832 or email us.

Getting married at christ church

You can get married at Christ Church if one of you is resident within the parish boundary, or if one of you has a legally defined qualifying connection with Christ Church. The most common connections are;

  • either or both of you were baptised here;

  • either or both of you have previously lived within the parish;

  • either or both of you have been regularly worshipping here for six months or more;

  • the parents of either of you were married here, or lived within the parish, or attended public worship here for at least six months.

How can I find out which parish I live in?
You can find out which parish you live in by contacting your nearest Anglican (Church of England) church, or by checking on the following website:  A Church Near You
